小大 (xiǎo dà) – "Small" and "Big"

  These are two opposite adjectives in Chinese: 小 (xiǎo) = small, little 大 (dà) = big, large They are often used individually, but sometimes appear together in phrases or comparisons. 🔤 Examples: 这个房间很小。 Zhè ge fángjiān hěn xiǎo. → This room is very small . 那只狗很大。 Nà zhī gǒu hěn dà. → That dog is very big . 从小到大 ( cóng xiǎo dào dà ) – from childhood to adulthood Ex: 我们是从小到大的朋友。 Wǒmen shì cóng xiǎo dào dà de péngyǒu. → We’ve been friends since we were little.  洗手间很 小 (Xǐshǒujiān hěn xiǎo) The bathroom is very small 🧠 Tip: You can use 小 and 大 with nouns too: 小猫 ( xiǎo māo ) – small cat 大山 ( dà shān ) – big mountain 小朋友 ( xiǎo péngyǒu ) – little child 大学 ( dàxué ) – university (literally: “big school”) 📌 Hashtags: #LearnChinese #ChineseVocabulary #小大 #MandarinWithMandi #ChineseAdjectives #ChineseOpposites #StudyChinese
