In a major step for international connectivity, China Eastern Airlines (中国东方航空 – Zhōngguó Dōngfāng Hángkōng) has announced the launch of the first direct flight (直飞航班 – zhífēi hángbān) between China (中国 – Zhōngguó) and Argentina (阿根廷 – Āgēntíng). Starting in December 2025, travelers will be able to fly from Shanghai (上海 – Shànghǎi) to Buenos Aires (布宜诺斯艾利斯 – Bùyínuòsī Àilìsī), with a stopover in Auckland (奥克兰 – Àokèlán). This new route will operate twice a week (每周两次 – měi zhōu liǎng cì) and is set to transform tourism, business, and cultural exchange between Asia and Latin America.
