🕐 Chinese Greetings Depending on the Time of Day 早安 (zǎo ān) Good morning, 午安 (wǔ ān) Good afternoon and 晚安 (wǎn ān) Good evening

In Mandarin Chinese, greetings change depending on the time of day.

🌟This image explains it clearly and visually:

🌅 早安 (zǎo ān) – Good morning!
Literally “morning” + “peace.” It is used at the beginning of the day.
Good morning, I am Mandi 早安, 我是 Mandi。 Zǎo ān, wǒ shì Mandi.

🌞 午安 (wǔ ān) – Good afternoon
“Noon” + “peace.” Ideal for midday or afternoon.

🌙 晚安 (wǎn ān) – Good evening
“Night” + “peace.” It is used both to say hello and to say goodbye before going to sleep.

📌 Fun fact:
The character 安 (ān) means “peace” or “tranquility,” and appears in all greetings. It's like wishing the other person a peaceful day. 🕊️
