Clothes

The word “clothes” in Chinese is:

衣服 (yīfu) → general word for clothes, clothing.


👉 Examples:

"I bought new clothes" → 我买了新衣服 (wǒ mǎi le xīn yīfu).

"Wash the clothes" → 洗衣服 (xǐ yīfu).


There are also related words:

衣 (yī) → clothing (formal, used in compounds, e.g. 衣柜 yīguì = wardrobe).

服装 (fúzhuāng) → clothing, outfit (more formal, often in fashion/shops).
